Privacy policy.
How B5 Secure LLC collects, uses, and safeguards personal information, and the rights and choices available to you.
Last updated July 1, 2026
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to personal information B5 Secure LLC processes through the b5secure.com website, our evaluation and licensing process, and our support channels. It does not govern data your own applications process using B5SecurityKit software, where you are the controller and we do not receive that data.
2. Information we collect
We collect information you provide and information generated automatically:
- Information you provide — name, business email, company, and message content when you contact us, request an evaluation, or enter an agreement;
- Account and licensing data — license keys, entitlements, and billing contact details for customers;
- Usage and device data — IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and similar log data collected via cookies and server logs (see our Cookies Policy).
3. How we use information
We use personal information to respond to inquiries; to provide, license, and support the software; to operate, secure, and improve the Site; to send service and, where permitted, marketing communications; and to comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
4. Legal bases
Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, we rely on your consent, the performance of a contract, our legitimate interests in operating and securing our business, and compliance with legal obligations.
5. How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We share it with service providers acting on our behalf (such as hosting, email, and payment processors) under contract; with professional advisers; in connection with a corporate transaction; and where required by law or to protect rights and safety.
6. Your rights and choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent. California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising; we do not sell personal information. To exercise any right, email privacy@b5secure.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
7. Retention and security
We retain personal information for as long as needed for the purposes described here and to meet legal, accounting, and contractual requirements, then delete or de-identify it. We apply the same Zero-Trust posture we build into our products — least-privilege access, encryption in transit, and auditable controls — to the data we hold, though no method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.
8. International transfers
We are based in the United States and may process information in the U.S. Where we transfer personal information across borders, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
Customer deployments
Where B5 Secure™ technology operates inside a customer’s own deployment, that customer determines why personal data in its environment is processed and we act on its instructions as a processor or subprocessor. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use data held in a customer’s environment to train models that serve other customers. Support access to a customer environment is authorised per data element with a stated purpose and is recorded like any other access. The processor terms are in our Data Processing Agreement.
Children
Our websites and products are directed to software developers, security teams and the institutions that employ them — not to children — and we do not knowingly collect personal information from a child. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, write to privacy@b5secure.com and we will delete it.
For a longer explanation of how these commitments work inside a deployment — written for a security reviewer rather than as a notice — see Privacy at B5 Secure in the Trust Center. This page remains the binding notice.
9. Contact
Privacy questions and requests may be directed to privacy@b5secure.com or to B5 Secure LLC, PO Box 1410, Menlo Park, CA 94026-1410.
B5 Secure™ and related intellectual property remain solely with Todd Yancey. This page is provided for information; where a signed agreement governs your relationship with B5 Secure LLC, that executed agreement controls.
A question about your data?
Our privacy team responds to access, deletion, and correction requests.
Website analytics and newsletter
This site records first-party usage events — the page viewed, the referring page, and clicks on scheduling links — to understand what visitors find useful. Events are sent to our own form-intake system, are not shared with advertising networks, and no third-party analytics or advertising trackers are used. If you subscribe to our newsletter, your email address is stored in the same first-party system and used only to send the updates you asked for; every message includes a way to opt out, and you can request deletion at any time using the contact details on this page.
