This Acceptable Use Policy (this “Policy”) sets the boundaries on how the B5 Secure software, source packages, developer materials, Site, and any services (collectively, the “Offerings”) may be used. It supplements the Terms of Use and any license agreement; capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given there.

1.Prohibited Conduct

You may not use the Offerings to: (a) violate any law or regulation, or infringe or misappropriate any third party’s intellectual-property or privacy rights; (b) develop, distribute, or operate malware or engage in unauthorized access, interception, or disruption of any system or data; (c) attack, probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any system or network without authorization; (d) circumvent or disable any license, security, authentication, or usage-limit control; (e) place an unreasonable or disproportionately large load on, or otherwise interfere with, any service; or (f) misrepresent your identity, authority, or affiliation.

2.Product-Specific Limits

You may not use the Offerings to build or assist in building a product that competes with the B5 Secure software, nor reverse engineer the software except to the limited extent expressly permitted by an applicable license or by law. The source packages may be used only within the scope of your license and may not be redistributed except as compiled and embedded within your applications.

3.Content and Communications

You may not use any communication or feedback channel we provide to transmit unlawful, harassing, defamatory, or abusive content, or to send unsolicited bulk messages.

4.Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations and may suspend or terminate access to the Offerings, with or without notice, where we reasonably believe this Policy has been violated or where necessary to protect the Offerings, our users, or third parties. Suspension or termination for cause does not entitle you to a refund. We may also report unlawful activity to the authorities.

5.Reporting; Changes; Contact

Report suspected abuse or violations to security@b5secure.com (for security matters) or legal@b5secure.com. We may update this Policy from time to time; changes are effective when posted.
